On April 5, 2018, North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University hosted the NACME Executive Sponsor Speaker Series event. A panel of Dow leaders was invited to share their perspective on Effective Communication Across Generational Lines. The speakers included Steve Westerman, North America HR Solutions Leader – Talent Acquisition/Talent Management, Lotheronie (Teenie) Raby, Technical Support Operations Leader, and John Tsaras, Value Delivery Leader – Diamond Systems Analytics. The session was moderated by NACME Scholar, Simone Douglas.

On May 10, 2017, New Jersey Institute of Technology hosted the NACME Sponsored Executive Speaker Series event. Gina Loften, Vice President and Chief Innovation Officer, IBM, was invited to share her story and wisdom with the next generation of STEM Leaders.

On September 22nd 2016, the University of Michigan hosted its first NACME simulcast of a NACME Sponsored Executive Speaker event. Why NACME?

When you support NACME you join a diverse network of corporations, educational institutions, and talented minority STEM students and professionals all working towards creating an engineering workforce that looks like America.

The National Action Council for Minorities in Engineering supports high-performing African American, American Indian, and Latino engineering and computer science students, from college-to-career. NACME is nurturing the next generation of diverse leaders and changing the trajectory of their lives.

NACME partners with more than 50 colleges and universities across the country, and NACME Partner Institutions graduate 30.5 percent of all underrepresented minority engineering BS degree recipients. NACME collaborates with dozens of global companies to provide scholarship dollars, hands-on opportunities, and corporate exposure for more than 1,300 NACME Scholars annually. Eighty three percent of NACME Scholars graduate, with an average GPA of 3.3, and they comprise a pool of talented engineers who can help improve diversity and drive bottom line results for companies as interns and/or full-time hires.
