Nacme Scholarships

NACME is responsible for approximately $3 million in scholarships awarded annually to underrepresented minority (URM) students. NACME expects to support approximately 1,000 underrepresented minority engineering and computer students annually.

Scholarship Eligibility

To be eligible to be named for any of the NACME administered scholarships students must either be a high school senior applying to an engineering or computer science program at a NACME Partner Institution, or be currently matriculating in an engineering or computer science program at a NACME Partner Institution, a US citizen or permanent resident, and have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0. NACME's mission is to increase representation of Black/African American, Latinx/Hispanic-American and Native/American Indian in the fields of engineering and computer science.

NACME Scholars are nominated by representatives from NACME Partner Institutions. If you are applying to or matriculating at a NACME Partner Institution, please check with your minority support office or financial aid office to determine who is the administrator of the NACME Scholarship program at your school of interest.

Description

Funding to support high school seniors/rising freshmen participation in a qualifying bridge program the summer prior to Freshman year

NACME Scholarship

Collegiate (Block Grant)

Description

NACME provides block grants to partner institutions that, in turn, award scholarships to talented students enrolled in engineering or computer science programs as part of their financial aid packages. All first-time recipients must agree to submit their name, full contact information, resume and passport style picture directly to NACME. Scholars must be matriculating full time, in good standing, at an on campus engineering or computer science program at a NACME Partner Institution

NACME Scholarship

Americas Styrenics

Description

The Americas Styrenics Scholarship provides financial support that will promote high academic achievement, leadership qualities and commitment to excellence at Louisiana State University (LSU).  One rising sophomore or junior will be selected, and the recipient is awarded $6,000 annually for up to two years. This dollar amount will be matched by LSU for a total of $12,000 annually.

Description

Philip D. Reed endowment fellowship is made possible through an endowment from the Philip D. Reed Foundation. One student is selected in their sophomore year. The award provides $5,000 for up to three years.
