NACME was formed in 1974, when a group of corporate and educational leaders came together to collaborate on large scale issues relating to attracting talent from all backgrounds to the field of engineering.
Today, the NACME Board of Directors remains the most senior group of executives dedicated to identifying solutions to the challenges our nation faces by supporting high-achieving students pursuing degrees in the fields of engineering and computer science.
Companies that are selected to serve on NACME’s Board of Directors commit to implement the mission by:
Nominating a Board Director who is within two reporting levels of the company’s CEO
Committing to significant support of NACME programs and events
Interviewing a minimum number of NACME Scholars for internships, co-ops and/or full-time positions
Investing in NACME at a significant financial level
Ensuring NACME is branded in the company’s marketing, website, and social media
